I saw this picture online the other day... and what immediately came to my mind was the opening line from Charles Dickens' 1859 historical novel, "A Tale of Two Cities":"It was the best of times, it was the worst of times..."
I wanted to shout, "Hold on!"
Hold on, to the working poor.
Hold on to the homeless.
Hold on to those who lost their jobs,
their health care, their pensions.
Hold on.
"It is a far, far better thing that I do, than I have ever done;
it is a far, far better rest that I go to, than I have ever known."
